What Stops Online Success? Alexis knows!

by Trisha

Alexis Dawes, author of Desperate Buyers Only writes about her latest and greatest Business Goal Bootcamp and An Admitted Internet Marketers Biggest Downfall…

So what is this problem? What do other infopreneurs frequently confess as their biggest downfall?

Lack of focus.

The inability to complete one project at a time, without being mentally sidetracked by another idea that appears 1,000 times more profitable. The grass always looks greener on the other side-syndrome.

Although it frequently masks itself as (ahem) ‘productivity,’ it is anything but. At the very least you’ll constantly be running around in circles, never truly achieving your highest potential. And left unchecked, it can completely ruin your business.

Oh how true, Alexis! Last year I worked with a partner and we both had a serious case of follow through disorder…

Though we could get our ideas hacked out on paper, completely brainstormed and crystal clear, every project hit a wall. We’d spend weeks worth of dead business days, brain banging ‘what comes next’, and lost enthusiasm… and never came up with any solutions. I’m on my own now and STILL going through this. No idea is too small, so on to the next big ‘this will change my life’ opportunity.

She’s absolutely right. It doesn’t work.

I’ve tried to find the magic quality that the successful e-preneurs have that gets them over the hump from the idea and building phase, through to the sales and success phase. See something missing already? The little bit of knowledge or personality that they have, that I haven’t figured out yet…

I think Alexis has pinned it down perfectly here. Lack of focus. The ability to carry a project from inception to completion without losing steam or wandering off. If I can bear my soul here and admit my own inadequacies… It’s HARD to stay focused! When you reach the point where you just don’t know the next step, you can almost hear the whining of your process locking down to a dead stop. If an answer to ‘what now’ doesn’t come fast, I get scared. “Something’s got to work. I need money now. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life”… The internal dialogue is all so very desperate.

Everyone has their stopping point, and everyones is different. What does your idle mind do? If we can learn exactly where our point of no return is, and what to do before we reach it - improve our psychology, we can push through to more success.

Thanks Alexis for such great products. You will have me as a customer for life.
