Roberta, Id say do both! Use your autoresponder to send newsletters and set up a quick feedburner signup to alert your readers of new posts. Feedburner subscribers can have your posts sent to them by email also.

Trish
Feedburner vs email. I have given people the ability to subscribe but I know a lot of people use Feedburner, including some Wordpress users with lots of subscribers. I have a autoresponder programme but I have people who want to subscribe to my blog - which is the best way to do?

sorry, i sent you to the wrong place. this is a little trickier to find in the hosted wordpress... Its in your 'site stats' From the admin bar, pull down 'my sites' find your site and click on 'site stats'. At the bottom it says Totals, subscription and shares. There should be a link that says x active subscribers. Click on that and you'll see a link to all of your subs. There's a little more info about blog subscriptions and even comment subscriptions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscriptions/

I went to my dashboard and clicked Users. It shows me as the administrator, and that's it. At the top it says:

All (1)

Maybe I'm not looking in the right spot? :(

I can't seem to even find my list of subscribers to my blog. Help! I don't want to email them, I just want to see how many I have without using an plugin. Any ideas?
Thanks!
